Buddy Class Hut Building

         

This term we joined up with our buddy class for an awesome hut building experience! In the first week of Term 1, we read The Treehouse Treaty by Wiremu Grace and created our own class treaty.

Then we met with our Room 11 buddies and practiced teamwork, communication, perseverance, and creativity, as planned our very own huts.

Next, we used our plans to build our huts out of blocks.

In our last week of the Term, we got the chance to use sheets, blankets and any other bits and pieces we could get out hands on, to make life-size huts! We had such a fun time laughing and smiling while building and creating.
