A Whale of a Time!
We were so lucky today to spot the playful Southern Right Whale frolicking along the shores of Wainui Beach. It stayed in the area for around 4 hours before heading up towards Whangara. We couldn't wait to get back to class to do some research on these magnificent creatures!
So lucky to have these real life opportunities over the road!! Amazing! I'd like to know if the whales always come past at a certain time of year? I was surfing tuamotu island once on my own and one swam by, it was a bit scary!
