Hands on learning.

Week 3 was full of interesting learning...

Pangarau - Maths

We got into the next step of our statistics learning by posing questions, gathering data, tallying it up and using it to make a pictograph.  The learners asked questions to find out more about their class mates in connection to our Faces and Places inquiry topic.

Each learner working hard gathering data using the question they posed.

Panui - Reading

The learners had their first week of flexible reading groups and enjoyed choosing their text based on topic interest.  One book was so popular we had to do the group twice, so we missed reading other texts and will catch up in Week 4!

It's cool to korero!

Well done to Rio and Charlotte for getting up in assembly and showing how cool their greeting korero is!  The Tumeke Tiki will live in Room 4 this week.
