Honu pumping their science learning!

Kia ora, we have been busy with learning across the curriculum since we have been back at school, instructional reading in science, converting feet to metres so we could understand how tall the giants in the BFG story are, plenty of work ethic being grown in our Enviroschool mahi and learning about our WBS learner profile.
Here are some highlights from the last couple of weeks.
  • We finished our shared book, The BFG, and used the measurements of the height of the giants (in feet) to problem solve how tall they were in metres. The Fleshlumpeater is 18m tall, or 12 chiddlers.

  • We have continued to learn how to use our scientific skills such as reading and following instructions, predicting, observation and drawing and discussing our thoughts.
