Week 10 - STEM challenge
This week our STEM challenge was to design a structure to transport an object down a zipline. All pairs or individuals had the same materials, had to plan it out, trial and improve their structure after observing it in action.
Those who completed their creation tested it out and we discussed ideas and theories about why some travelled smoothly and why others tilted, lost their 'passenger' (ping pong ball).
We will make time to reflect and make a second attempt at this STEM challenge.
Have you ever ridden down a zip line? Do you have any advice for the learners to help them improve their structure?
