Walking to the Moana and Maunga of our school Pepeha
In Term 2 we walked to the bottom of Maungaroa, along the edge of the Wainui Moana, to physically walk some parts of our Pepeha. It was an adventure of rock hopping and along the way we spied beautiful coastal and sea creatures. The tamariki enjoyed walking together and it was lovely to see them helping one another when it was slippery or they were tired.
We sang our school Pepeha song while we were there, for the first time since before lockdown, so we were a bit rusty.
Ask your tamaiti if they know our school pepeha now that we have been practising it.
